Our first visit this year was to Zakopane, where we are a huge supporter of the Tatra National Park Accessibility Partnership, which was established to bring together local entities responsible for tourist facilities and services across sectors \u2013 to jointly create an accessibility chain in the Tatra Mountains. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The accessibility chain is a concept that assumes accessibility should be ensured at every stage of using spaces, services, information, or events. This means eliminating physical, communication, digital, and social barriers so that all people, regardless of their needs or limitations, can freely participate in social, cultural, and professional life. Breaking the chain at any stage results in a loss of full accessibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Poland Without Barriers Foundation and the Children's Help on Time Foundation, PTTK, and the Tatra National Park have established a partnership aimed at increasing the accessibility of the mountains in this part of Poland for people with disabilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So that everyone can experience the beauty of the Tatra Mountains and benefit from adapted facilities and a friendly space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the first activities was the organization of accessibility training and networking meetings for people working in the tourism industry by the Poland Without Barriers Foundation, entitled "Accessible Mountains.".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A natural consequence was the establishment of a partnership in which we will work together and encourage other entities to join. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project also created materials for tourism industry representatives interested in creating accessible products and services \u2013 we recommend them! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
