Handling requests and complaints related to accessibility
Everyone has the right to request the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application, or any element thereof. Information may also be requested through an alternative access method, for example, by reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a video without audio description, etc. The request should include the requester's details, the website or mobile application in question, and contact information. If the requester requests information through an alternative access method, they should also specify a convenient way to present this information. The public entity should fulfill the request promptly, no later than seven days from the date of the request. If this deadline cannot be met, the public entity shall immediately inform the requester when it will be possible to fulfill the request, but this deadline cannot be longer than two months from the date of the request. If ensuring digital accessibility is not possible, the public entity may propose an alternative method of accessing the information. If a public entity refuses to comply with a request for accessibility or an alternative means of accessing information, the requesting party may file a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application, or element of a website or mobile application. After exhausting the above-mentioned procedure, a complaint may also be filed with the Commissioner for Human Rights.
